Grain Policies
East Kansas Agri-Energy

GENERAL GRAIN POLICIES (Subject To Change Without Notice)

All grain delivered to EKAE must be applied on contract or sold upon delivery. EKAE does not accept grain for storage.  All grain title passes to EKAE at delivery.

All grain delivered to EKAE will be applied to customers’ oldest contract first, on a “first in, first out” basis.

Grain sold for delivery in deferred months must be delivered during the delivery period for which it was sold, and not before without prior approval from EKAE.

Moisture and grade discounts are calculated on a per bushel basis, and each load stands on its own.

Spot sales and contract overfills are priced at EKAE’s closing market price at day of unload.

Checks for grain are processed and mailed each Friday for grain delivered from the previous Thursday through Wednesday of the following week.

 Grain receiving hours:

Normal Schedule             Monday --  Friday            8am to 5pm

Harvest Hours                   Grain receiving hours are subject to change during harvest; specific hours will be made available on a daily basis at the scale office.
